Staff Nurse - Women's Health

Harbor Health Services is a leading provider of community-based healthcare services, dedicated to delivering high-quality care to individuals and families in need. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team in the Women's Health Department at the Daniel Driscoll-Neponset Health Center.

About the Role

The Staff Nurse will provide nursing services to patients in accordance with Massachusetts State Laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing routine nursing care to patients, utilizing age-specific guidelines and standard precaution practices.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of comprehensive care plans in conjunction with the care team and/or provider.
  • Administering medications and vaccinations to patients as ordered by the provider or following standing orders policy.
  • Participating in team, department, and clinic meetings to learn, support process improvement, and contribute to care plans.
  • Providing cross-coverage and training for staff in similar roles as needed.
  • Providing health coaching and teaching to patients through individual nurse visits, group visits, and co-visits with other disciplines.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license and Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting and independently.
  • Ability to work effectively with economically, racially, and linguistically diverse customers.
  • Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with Electronic Medical Record software (EPIC/OCHIN highly desired).
