With a completely renovated 29,000-square-foot animal hospital in Brewster, New York, our facility serves pet owners and referring veterinarians throughout Putnam, Dutchess, Westchester, Orange, Rockland and Bronx counties in New York, Fairfield County in Connecticut—and beyond.

This modern, full-service facility includes:

• Three surgery suites
• 14 exam rooms
• A sophisticated intensive care unit
• An isolation ward
• Complete in-house diagnostic laboratory
• Comprehensive onsite diagnostic imaging capabilities including MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound and digital x-ray
• Separate chemotherapy and endoscopy areas
• A dedicated inpatient feline ward and separate feline waiting room area
• A large rehabilitation center with a custom-designed, full-size therapy pool
• Custom-designed private room for owners to visit their pets
• In addition, we have a private, graciously appointed comfort room for those times when pet owners must make the difficult decision to let their pets go.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team in the ICU and Emergency Services departments. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary technicians and veterinarians in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians in providing exceptional patient care
• Support the ICU and Emergency Services departments in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and team members
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• 2 years' experience in a veterinary hospital/clinic working as an assistant OR 1 year experience in a veterinary hospital/clinic AND completion from a Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Science program
• Love of animals and a passion to help and heal
• Desire to continually learn and grow
