POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary role of the Retail Operations Supervisor is to support the Store Manager in managing daily retail operations, ensuring optimal sales performance and profitability through effective merchandising, expense management, and inventory control. This position also focuses on the training and development of the store team, human resources management, and delivering outstanding customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the quality and performance of retail staff.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Exemplify strong leadership to inspire commitment to store objectives and training standards.
- Assist in the recruitment, selection, and training of store personnel.
- Provide feedback to the Store Manager regarding annual performance evaluations for all employees.
- Support expense management and develop strategies to align store performance with budgetary goals.
- Monitor and identify issues related to loss prevention to achieve shrink goals.
- Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and business standards.
- Facilitate training for all employees on effective selling and merchandising techniques.
- Uphold customer service standards to guarantee each customer receives exceptional service in a welcoming environment.
- Assist in conducting accurate and regular merchandise inventory counts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position typically requires a standard work week not exceeding 40 hours, with a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in retail management.
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills in English.
- High interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations with poise and tact.
- Strategic thinking abilities with effective planning and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- The ability to maintain professionalism in all situations.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed.
