Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Test Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Reliability Test Engineer, you will be tasked with ensuring our hardware meets the highest level of quality and reliability. You will work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to maximize reliability across all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement reliability test strategies for new products to maximize field life and minimize early life failures
  • Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to maximize reliability across all disciplines
  • Design and execute novel environmental, RF, mechanical, and electrical testing techniques tailored to the product and its functions
  • Write test programs to exercise the functionality of the product over various conditions and environments
  • Automate reliability test initiatives and reporting using proper data visualization techniques and thorough knowledge of the product and its functions
  • Define the ongoing reliability testing strategy to monitor the manufacturing process health and screen for long-term reliability defects caused by process and component variability
  • Root cause systemic production issues or failures found in test and drive design or process changes to meet long-term reliability goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in test, analysis, manufacturing, or hardware development
  • Thorough understanding and experience in environmental testing such as HALT/HASS, thermal, vibration, and TVAC
  • Programming experience in Python, C, and SQL with an emphasis on data analysis and automation
  • Demonstrated capability to think creatively and solve complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule
  • Thorough understanding of electronics reliability and failure mechanisms
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-functional role
  • Must be onsite 5 days a week

Our positions offer a base pay that is a single component of our total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, high-quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on-site catered meals.

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.

Base Salary $130,000—$180,000 USD

U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
