About the Role

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Advanced Care Professional to join our Emergency Medicine team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments and complete physical examinations, utilizing strong clinical skills and judgment to deliver high-quality care.
  • Collect and analyze vital signs, specimens, and point-of-care test results to inform treatment decisions.
  • Serve as the on-site leader for clinical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with a valid New York license and registration.
  • Current DEA certification and NCCPA Registration.
  • Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
Experience and Skills
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting, with critical care experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.
