Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Bariatric Clinic team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with medical providers, and embody the organization's vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and assistance to clinic providers, including obtaining vitals, anthropometrics, and calibration of equipment.
  • Work closely with providers to schedule diagnostic tests, gather results, and complete prior authorizations for medication and appointment coverage.
  • Triage incoming telephone calls and collaborate with providers regarding patient care.
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
Requirements
  • NH Licensed Registered Nurse or valid compact state RN license.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Associate Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • 1-3 years of Bariatric and/or Endoscopy related nursing experience preferred.
