As a Laboratory Mixing Technician, your primary responsibilities will include conducting tests on factory and laboratory mixed compounds and tire components across all product lines, while accurately logging and reporting data.

*Please note that this position may require overnight and weekend shifts.*

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of analytical (chemical) instruments and physical testing equipment, including lab mills, curing presses, tensile testers, RPA, X-Ray, Mooney viscometers, adhesion testers, densitometers, hardness testers, MDR, and Brabender. Document and report sample test results.
• Validate equipment functionality and perform necessary calibrations and maintenance on all devices.
• Continuously seek to enhance laboratory testing systems to improve data accuracy and precision.
• Maintain testing procedures and other operational instructions.
• Provide testing support for raw materials.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure assigned work areas are clean and organized.
• Follow supervisory directives and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient computer skills, including data entry and understanding basic operations of computerized equipment.
• At least one year of experience as a Lab Technician or relevant manufacturing experience.
• Basic mechanical skills, including the ability to assemble equipment and understand the operation of various testing devices.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with production testing of components.

Successful candidates will also possess:

• Knowledge of testing techniques and equipment.
• The ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical capability to lift between 25 to 35 lbs.

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $42,000 and $55,000 annually. This range is an estimate based on requested experience and skill sets, and actual salary offers will consider a variety of factors, including experience, knowledge, and skills.
