Cypress Physical Therapy Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced licensed physical therapist to join our team at Cypress Physical Therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients with various diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and establish goals.
  • Perform procedures, modalities, and exercise programs tailored to each patient's condition and functional status.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including progress notes, evaluations, re-evaluations, discharge summaries, and billing forms.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants and provide guidance on patient treatment and progress.
  • Participate in quality improvement and safety programs, and co-sign physical therapy assistant documentation as needed.
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision to physical therapy assistants, and communicate patient progress to other medical and allied health personnel.
  • Instruct patients and families on exercises to continue at home, and provide written materials as needed.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Attend management meetings and contribute to discussions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of and adhere to policies and procedures regarding safety, documentation, infection control, and confidentiality.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining department equipment and supplies, and report any necessary repairs to department heads.
  • Accept additional duties and assignments within their scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in physical therapy and current licensure in Louisiana.
  • Previous experience is desired but not required.
