Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist at Sunset Senior Living, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation services to our residents, helping them to improve their mobility and functional abilities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat residents, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents' physical therapy needs, including their abilities, limitations, and potential.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
  • Modify treatment techniques as needed to meet the needs of each resident.
  • Document residents' progress and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team and family.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Educate residents and families on strategies and techniques to improve functional independence and prevent further injury.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for each resident, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or with a geriatric population is preferred.
Working Conditions

You will work in a well-lighted and ventilated area, as well as throughout the nursing services area. You will be required to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours. You will be involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies, and other personnel under all conditions and circumstances.
