Job Summary

Touro University New York is seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our Graduate Program in Speech-Language Pathology. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching, research, and service to the institution and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Teach 3 courses per semester, including graduate-level courses in speech-language pathology.
  • Advisement: Advise students, meeting with them at least once per semester, and maintain digital files of their advisees.
  • Service: Participate in program and university committees, attend weekly faculty meetings, and engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and presentations.
  • Research: Conduct research in speech-language pathology, publish papers, and present at conferences.
  • Administrative: Develop and implement curriculum, assess student learning, and participate in program evaluation.
Qualifications
  • Education: PhD or other research doctoral equivalent in Speech Pathology or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Experience: ASHA certification, eligibility for State licensure, and research experience.
  • Skills: Strong writing skills, ability to take initiative, work as a team member, and prioritize workload.
Working Conditions

This is a 10-month position, and the successful candidate will be required to maintain the required presence on campus, participate in summer retreats, and complete all courses required by the university for online teaching and technology.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
