About the Job:

The Respiratory Therapist is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for the administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of pulmonary disorders and the ability to implement treatment, disease prevention, and pulmonary rehabilitative regimes prescribed by physicians.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders.
  • Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.
  • Proper assessment, observation, and monitoring of signs and symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to Respiratory Care treatments and diagnostic testing.
  • Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery to achieve desired outcomes.
