Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Combustion Furnace Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our industrial furnaces, ensuring their optimal performance and adherence to strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hot work production furnaces and heat treat furnaces.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with furnace instruments and combustion systems, ensuring efficient thermal operation.
  • Conduct Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) and System Accuracy Tests (SAT) to verify furnace performance.
  • Calibrate furnace control instruments, such as temperature chart recorders and controllers, maintaining accurate readings.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and calibration results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of combustion theory and its application in furnace operation.
  • Proficiency in performing mechanical repairs and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Experience with calibration and maintenance of industrial control instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, heat, and noise. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
