Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, performing various imaging procedures to diagnose medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and obtain consent.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other imaging staff as needed.
  • Practice aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures.
  • Work within the MRI Tech scope of practice according to policy and procedures.
  • Follow all general infection control measures and those specific to the department.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and immediately after completing each case.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or ARMRIT certification.
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician certification.
  • Vocational School Graduate.
