The main objective of this role is to carry out a range of responsibilities that typically involve sanitation, waste management, and laundry services.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness during meal services for residents and staff, as well as for special occasions, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, along with Solaris HealthCare's established policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning of hard surfaces, including mopping, sweeping, stripping, waxing, and buffing. Ensure that appropriate caution/safety signage is displayed before commencing these tasks.
- Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, and extraction, utilizing the correct cleaning agents as per Facility Cleaning protocols.
- Clean baseboards in resident areas and communal spaces to ensure a hygienic and welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Report any non-functional lighting, including exit signs and room illumination, to your supervisor for prompt repair or replacement.
- Dispose of waste in designated containers and replace liners as necessary, ensuring cleanliness both inside and outside the receptacles.
- Notify your supervisor of any damages requiring repair or replacement.
- Regularly maintain and clean equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and floor fans as part of a scheduled maintenance routine, reporting any issues to your supervisor.
- Adhere to safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals and following established safety procedures.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:Prior experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
