About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Manassas, VA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools
Requirements
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
Work Environment

Work hours are 7AM - 330PM Monday through Friday.

This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and preemployment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.

A current valid license is required for this role.

This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.

This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.

3 years driving experience.

This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.

Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
