About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex issues, and collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair company-owned buses and other motorized vehicles, adhering to manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues, using diagnostic equipment and manual checks as needed.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot problems, developing effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and maintain efficient workflows.
  • Document all work performed, including maintenance records, repair histories, and inventory management.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum two years of experience in heavy equipment or commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Certification in areas such as brake repair, transmission diagnosis, or electrical systems would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
