Job Opportunity at Kemper CPA Group

Kemper CPA Group LLP, a leading public accounting firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for a Tax Internship position in our Stockton, California office. As a Tax Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced team and develop your technical skills in tax preparation, journal entries, and trial balances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Execute routine journal entries and prepare adjusted trial balances to support tax preparation.
  • Organize and prepare workpapers to support the tax file, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Prepare state or local personal property tax returns as needed, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting and working towards CPA eligibility.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate ownership of work assigned.
