Cloud Systems Architect Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Architect to join our team at CGS. As a Cloud Systems Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud-based systems that meet the needs of our clients
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including public, private, and hybrid clouds
  • Collaborate with the IT Security team to ensure the security of cloud systems and data
  • Engineer cloud-based applications and systems that integrate with on-premise infrastructure
  • Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems
  • Determine systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security
  • Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions
  • May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers
Requirements:
  • Experience with cloud computing and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with migration of applications to the cloud
  • Ability to build relationships between customers and team members
  • Ability to integrate services and tools to any and all areas, including networks and data processing
  • Ability to implement security information and event management to keep customer assets safe
  • Experience with meeting or exceeding the requirements of cloud provider service-level agreements
  • Experience with AWS and Azure
  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages, including Python, PHP, Java, Node, and Ruby on Rails
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of work experience or equivalent experience
