Greenhouse Tomato Crop Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Tomato Grower to oversee the growth and development of our tomato crops in a greenhouse environment. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and productivity of our crops, working closely with our team of experts to develop and implement strategies for maximizing crop yields and minimizing waste.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the health and growth of tomato crops in a greenhouse environment
• Develop and implement strategies for maximizing crop yields and minimizing waste
• Manage 40+ acres of greenhouses with daily walkthroughs
• Supervise and collaborate with agronomists to identify and address issues related to plant health and growth
• Maintain accurate records of crop growth and development
• Ensure that all crops meet quality standards and customer requirements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in greenhouse tomato growing
• Strong understanding of plant and plastic greenhouse management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in Spanish (Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not a must)
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hydroponic growing systems
• Experience with pest and disease management
• Experience with data analysis and reporting
