Job Summary:

The Laborer - Finishing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the operations department by performing various tasks related to cleaning, quality control, and production. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Properly identify and handle quality packaging supplies and products
  • Ability to lift products weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Perform and complete package quality checks and respond to problems
  • Perform manual work such as hand palletizing, taping boxes, adding ingredients, etc.
  • Perform rework, such as relabeling, transferring, and disposing of products
  • Perform all assignments satisfactorily, safely, and maintain good attendance
  • Ability to have delegated tasks changed throughout the shift as needed
  • Flexibility in working different shifts as needed
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Fork Truck Operation
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of production lines and tank forms

Requirements:

  • Must be able to follow detailed work instructions
  • Must be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working at heights
  • Must be self-directed and able to work alone
  • Ability to change jobs due to operation fluctuations
  • Must work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
  • 12 Hour Shift, 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
  • $21.84
  • This is a union hourly position
  • Employee eligible for $.50 increase once trained and qualified as spotter

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent are preferred but not required
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
