We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Kennestone Hospital. Responsibilities:- Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients with various medical conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.
- Conduct nutrition assessments, including nutrition-focused physical exams, to identify patients at risk for malnutrition.
- Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare teams on nutrition-related topics, including healthy eating habits, meal planning, and nutrition supplements.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement transitional feeding plans for patients with enteral nutrition needs.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Engage in lifelong learning and professional development to stay current with best practices in clinical nutrition and dietetics.
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics from an accredited institution.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification through the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR).
- One to two years of clinical experience in nutrition or dietetics, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of nutrition care process, nutrition-focused physical exams, and enteral nutrition management.
