About the Role:
- Conduct thorough assessments of cardiac surgery patients pre and postoperatively, developing individualized care plans to ensure optimal recovery and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons to provide assistance during cardiac patient care, closely monitoring patients during and after surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care:
Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal recovery and patient outcomes. - Surgical Assistance:
Monitor patients closely during and after surgery, managing any emergent situations effectively. - Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families on postoperative care, medications, and lifestyle modifications, ensuring clear communication regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Acute Care or Adult-Gerontology.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
- Previous experience in cardiac surgery or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
