FLSA Status: Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility of the CCS Superintendent is to support the Project Manager in executing projects effectively. The ultimate aim is to ensure projects are completed on schedule, with outstanding quality, and within budget constraints.

CORE DUTIES:

  • Follow directives from the Project Manager for daily task execution.
  • Assist in managing material logistics from suppliers and within the job site, ensuring timely delivery, appropriate type and quantity, and proper staging.
  • Guide subcontractors in their daily operations while maintaining a forward-looking schedule.
  • Evaluate and inspect the quality of work from Champion's factories and subcontractors.
  • Compile punch lists and coordinate their completion with subcontractors.
  • Facilitate the coordination and resolution of warranty issues from Champion's factory and subcontractors.
  • Perform minor warranty work as needed and possess experience in manufactured home production and repair.
  • Maintain job site logs, including daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and safety documentation.
  • Conduct safety inspections in line with Champion's safety protocols.
  • Lead or participate in routine toolbox talks with all job site trades.
  • Travel across the region to oversee multiple job sites.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Preference for candidates familiar with local building codes, including but not limited to 2009 IRC, UPC, IMC, and 2011 NEC.
  • A minimum of 5 years in construction, including residential construction and supervising work crews or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and understanding of required personal protective equipment for various tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check; DOT knowledge is advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capable of performing physical tasks, lifting tools and materials, and engaging in construction-related activities.
