The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Environmental Services department, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of employees and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of Environmental Services staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, common areas, and equipment.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment, including infection control and waste management.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to ensure compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Nursing and Facilities, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of supplies and equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Three years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in Environmental Services or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Knowledge of infection control and waste management principles and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
