Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies.

• Reconcile operating and store accounts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain personnel files, I9 files, and other relevant documentation.
• Enter new hires, rate changes, and other information into the Paychex system.
• Receive and compute time cards for employees, maintaining accurate attendance records.
• Audit eligibility and payment of paid absences, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Complete the payroll process, prepare manual checks as necessary, and act as custodian for secondary petty cash fund.
• Handle employee benefits, including maintaining health and life insurance program information, reviewing records for accuracy, and processing insurance claim forms.
• Support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing professional conduct, work habits, and supervision.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years related experience, along with excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

The position requires a high degree of confidentiality and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
