Chemical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chemical Specialist to join our team at Clean Harbors. As a Chemical Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and analysis of chemicals and hazardous materials in our facility.

• Sample and Analyze Chemicals: Collect and analyze samples of incoming chemicals and hazardous materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Operate Laboratory Equipment: Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers and chromatographs, to analyze chemical samples.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of chemical samples, analyses, and laboratory procedures.
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth laboratory operations and to resolve any issues that may arise.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all laboratory procedures and operations are in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in chemistry or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a chemical analysis or quality control role.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment; proficiency in laboratory software and equipment.
• Certifications: Valid driver's license required; ability to obtain any necessary certifications or training.
