Job Overview

As a Facilities Maintenance and Grounds Care Specialist, you will be instrumental in upholding the standards of the Ignite community, ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of our grounds, facilities, streets, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and well-kept living environment in accordance with Ignite's standards.
  • Address work orders and perform minor repairs on homes and facilities as necessary, including emergency repairs to prevent further damage.
  • Ensure that lawns and common areas are properly manicured, which includes regular weed treatment, trimming, planting, and other essential lawn care tasks.
  • Oversee the maintenance of vacant sites and ensure the removal of trash and debris.
  • Conduct daily trash collection from common areas and streets, and empty trash containers as required.
  • Manage snow removal from community streets, parking lots, and building entrances as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while performing tasks, including the safe operation of vehicles.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of grounds maintenance techniques and general repair work, including plumbing and electrical maintenance.
  • Operate power equipment, various tools, and commercial machinery effectively.
  • Be available to respond to community needs outside of regular business hours, including being on-call when necessary.
  • Comply with fair housing regulations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass a criminal background check.
