Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pet Health Professional to join our team at Petco. As a Veterinary Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our furry patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality Patient Care: Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat diseases, and provide preventive care according to patient needs.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Utilize a problem-based approach to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Participate in rounds, disseminate knowledge throughout the staff, and maintain a professional attitude during emotional situations.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree: Equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Licensure and Certification: Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Team Player: Willingness to learn new techniques, offer creative ideas, and adapt to change.
