Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform independent review and effective challenge on in-house and vendor models across various business areas, such as credit, finance, capital markets, fraud, and compliance.

Identify model weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.

Execute model governance standards and procedures.

Stay abreast of changing market conditions and regulatory environments, and recommend continued enhancements to the MRM framework.

Interact with business and model owners to share industry practices during model development/upgrade, provide model risk training and guidance, and ensure compliance with GreenSky's MRM policy.

Assist in remediating issues and sufficing requests from internal and external auditors, management committees, and the Board.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

4-6 years of experience in model risk management, model development, and/or data analytics/data science.

Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Solid knowledge of quantitative models across a wide range of business areas, such as credit underwriting, loss forecasting, loan valuation, fraud detection, and fair lending.

Strong familiarity with common modeling methodologies and proficient programming skills in Python, SQL, etc.

Hands-on experience in model governance, including model inventory, validation scheduling and exceptions, issues management, risk controls and reporting.

Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, report writing, multitasking, and project management.

Preferred Experiences:

Work experience with AI/ML techniques.

Model validation or development experience at a financial institution regulated by FRB, OCC and/or FDIC.

Good understanding of risk control self-assessment (RCSA) and successful experience in passing MRM audits and exams.
