Overview

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Stocker to join our team at IGA Southeast. As a Grocery Stocker, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our store's shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing, providing an excellent shopping experience for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery products on shelves according to our company's standards and productivity guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including the sales floor and backroom, to ensure a positive shopping experience for our guests.
  • Organize and inventory backstock in the backroom area to ensure efficient restocking and minimize damage and shrink.
  • Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
  • Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area.
  • Communicate temperature problems to your supervisor, particularly for dairy and frozen food products.
  • Perform front-end duties as needed to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our guests.
  • Order product for aisles as assigned by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • A friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to lift 40 pounds constantly and 60 pounds occasionally.
  • The ability to read and understand information and direction.
  • Knowledge of grocery operations and a willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Effective communication and guest service skills.
  • The ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods of time.
