Experis is looking for a Senior Packaging Engineer to enhance our team.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for strategizing, executing, and overseeing packaging engineering functions. Your proficiency will encompass all facets of packaging machinery, from initial packaging to secondary packaging and process unit operations. You will leverage your expertise in the production of various pet food products, including wet and dry formulations, treats, and litter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the development of secondary packaging for specific product lines.
- Identify and deploy appropriate equipment technologies to fulfill production requirements.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders on capital initiatives.
- Offer technical guidance for ongoing improvement projects.
- Oversee project management to ensure seamless equipment integration and functionality.
- Contribute to the establishment of departmental standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Knowledge of OHSA, Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP/PMI), LEAN Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Essential: Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging equipment engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
