Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished adjunct faculty member to teach Introduction to Philosophy and Ethics courses in a classroom environment at Germanna Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively planning and delivering high-quality instruction to students with diverse academic backgrounds and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach Introduction to Philosophy and Ethics courses, utilizing relevant technology and learning management systems to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication.
• Foster a student-centered learning environment, promoting student engagement and success in the online teaching environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
• Stay current with developments in the field, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development in virtual education.

Requirements:

• Master's degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in the specific discipline.
• Official transcripts required prior to final offer.
• Ability to teach in a variety of modalities, including virtually.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse colleagues, students, and community members.
• Proficiency in relevant technology, including learning management systems and virtual communication tools.
