Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Designer to join our design team in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for various projects, working closely with our engineering team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop piping systems, including pipe sizing, layout, and material selection.
- Prepare construction documents, including General Arrangements, Piping Isometrics, P&IDs, Piping Plans, Lines Lists, and Tie-In Lists.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure design meets project requirements and industry standards.
- Review vendor shop drawings and construction drawings as necessary.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
Requirements
- 3D modeling experience.
- Experience developing drawings in AutoCAD or Microstation.
- Drafting/Design and related coursework.
- Knowledge of Pipe stress, Pipe support concepts, Pipe fabrication design, and use of Equipment layouts.
- Working knowledge of pipe, pipe fittings, valves, piping support, insulation, insulation jacketing, and equipment installation.
- Minimum 5 years Piping Systems related design experience.
- Project design experience in petrochemical and/or refinery work environment.
