Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled Trauma Surgeon to join our team at Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix. As a Clinical Researcher and Research Director, you will have the opportunity to work clinically, engage in cutting-edge research, and contribute to the academic community to make a significant impact in the field of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that offers a dynamic environment with 10 division faculty, 7 Advanced Practice Providers, and a very busy and growing Trauma and Critical Care program. You will provide care for patients with traumatic injuries or acute care surgical issues, manage critically ill patients, and help support outpatient and elective surgical care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care for patients with traumatic injuries or acute care surgical issues
- Manage critically ill patients in the surgical ICU
- Develop and conduct research in the field of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care
- Contribute to the academic community through teaching and mentoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
Requirements:
- Fellowship training in Acute Care/Trauma Surgery
- Board certification or eligibility in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
- Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license
- Experience or residency/fellowship training in Robotic/MIS is preferred
- Established expertise in working with diverse patient populations
- Evidence of clinical, scholarly, and teaching ability
- Qualified candidate should have a history of publications and be an active member of professional societies
