Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines in accordance with factory standards. You will also communicate with service advisors, document work performed, and ensure customer vehicles are kept clean.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines in accordance with factory standards
  • Communicate with service advisors regarding additional work or repairs
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and notify service advisors of any changes
  • Report safety issues to management immediately
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or requested by the customer
  • Examine assigned vehicles for further safety or service work
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
Qualifications
  • Paccar MX Certification
  • Cummins Engine Certification on ISB, ISC & ISX 2150 through 2350
  • Heating and Air Conditioning Certification for Commercial Truck
  • Manual Drive Train and Axle Certification for Auto/Light Truck
  • Brakes Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck
  • Drive Train Certification for Eaton and Meritor
  • State Emission Certification
  • State Vehicle Inspector Certification
  • Valid Driver's License
Compensation

Salary range: $50,000 - $100,000 per year (based on skill level and certifications)

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular climbing, reaching, and standing for prolonged periods. You must be physically able to operate various equipment and machinery, including computers, diagnostic equipment, and hand tools. You will also be required to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
