Position Title: Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- The HVAC Service Technician will oversee the operation, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance of commercial and industrial heating and cooling systems.
- Proficiency in managing chillers, boilers, air handlers, fan coil units, water treatment systems, controls, and other essential mechanical and electrical apparatus is required.
- Familiarity with kitchen and refrigeration equipment, as well as knowledge of refrigerants, is essential.
- Collaboration with the Dispatch Team is necessary to ensure timely and complete task execution.
- Adherence to safe work practices in compliance with OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards is crucial while performing assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining similar commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions and perform tasks with minimal supervision in isolated environments.
- Knowledge and experience in the safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary for completing work assignments.
- A valid Driver's license with a good driving record is required.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods and lift, move, and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights.
- Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection.
