Fleet Technician

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team at Sysco. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
• Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs to track and manage fleet maintenance.
• Work with Fleet Technician II and III to perform FAI/CVI inspections and other maintenance tasks.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including electrical systems, brakes, and suspension.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school (preferred).
• Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred).
• Basic knowledge and skill of all vehicle systems and components.
• Basic knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on all equipment.

The Fleet Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, and confined spaces. The associate may be required to work non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
