Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant/Associate Professor to join our faculty in the Department of Informatics at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research, engage in scholarly activities, pursue and obtain funding, and supervise graduate and undergraduate students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in the areas of human-centered computing, human-computer interaction, serious/educational gaming, virtual/augmented reality, security, accessibility, health informatics, computer-supported cooperative work, and social computing.
  • Engage in scholarly activities such as publishing papers in scientific journals and presenting work at conferences and educational institutions.
  • Pursue and obtain funding for research projects.
  • Supervise and guide graduate and undergraduate students and postdoctoral scientists.
  • Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Informatics.
  • Participate in service activities within the Department, the College, the University, and the Profession.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Strong research and teaching background.
  • Ability to secure funding for research projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
