Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to support the outbound shipping department at Sysco, a leading foodservice distribution company. As a Checker, you will be responsible for accurately verifying all outgoing products, ensuring compliance with Sysco's Preferred Work Methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify orders using sheets generated from the Sysco warehouse management system (SWMS).
  • Tag all outgoing pallets to signal loaders.
  • Transfer dates and information to the warehouse pull sheet.
  • Obtain market manager's approval for short-dated products and notify the warehouse supervisor.
  • Clean and maintain the warehouse environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months of general warehousing experience, auditing or bookkeeping preferred.
Professional Skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and hard work driven.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Fluent in English.
Work Environment
  • Varying workload and shift schedules.
  • Ability to work in ambient and freezer temperatures.
