The Registered Nurse is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in our behavioral health unit. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient status.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
- Participate in unit activities, such as therapy groups and family meetings, to promote patient engagement and education.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- One or more years of nursing experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting.
- Valid current RN license from the state or a compact state.
- Certification in psychiatric nursing is preferred.
