Southeastern Health is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist II to join our team. As a Medical Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine laboratory tests and procedures in chemistry, microbiology, hematology, blood bank, or other areas of the clinical laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures: Conduct a range of laboratory tests and procedures, including chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and blood bank tests, to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance: Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including CAP surveys, methods and procedures development, and equipment inspections and calibrations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other laboratory staff, to ensure seamless communication and high-quality patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments: Stay current with the latest laboratory techniques, technologies, and industry developments to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Requirements:
- Education and Credentials: Associate Degree in Medical Technology or a science related to clinical medicine with formal hospital-based internship and registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
