The SAP Financial Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing system operations and project initiatives related to designated applications. This role involves the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of application programs with a particular emphasis on SAP FI, In-House Cash, Coupa, Concur, and Vertex.
As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with the Treasury, Accounting, Finance, and Tax (TAFT) teams to facilitate problem resolution and contribute to training development. Responsibilities include application planning, execution, and support, which encompasses system maintenance, configuration, updates, integration, managing change control processes, providing functional support, implementing new features, and adhering to application standards and best practices. Additionally, you will act as a business process expert, supporting all facets of the financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficient in SAP GL, AP, AR, FM, Automatic Payment, FICO-MM Integration, FICO-SD Integration, Electronic Bank Statement, In-House Cash, Concur, Coupa, and Vertex.
- Experience in managing payment processes, establishing closing schedules, closing periods, processing year-end adjustments, carrying balances forward, closing year-end, and handling 1099 processing.
- Assess detailed system requirements based on business needs from the TAFT teams.
- Configure and test modifications to facilitate new system developments, enhancements, and production support changes.
- Provide functional specifications to ABAP developers for custom modifications.
- Offer expertise for impact assessments and testing of SAP Add-on Packs (AOPs) and SAP Release upgrades.
- Assist in the creation and execution of Enterprise Test scripts.
- Investigate issues reported by end-users, resolve them, and ensure ticket closure.
- Guarantee a smooth transition from development to production, including adherence to TAFT procedures and tools.
- Regularly communicate status updates and identify issues/risks as necessary, proactively addressing potential roadblocks.
- Collaborate with team members and TAFT groups to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including TAFT and IT applications teams.
- Engage in requirements gathering and the creation of User Stories or Technical Specification documents.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, stability, usability, maintainability, and customer satisfaction.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance application programs within a collaborative team environment using various development tools.
- Prepare systems for monthly closing processes, including data preparation and process management.
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of monthly close processes across all systems.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in customer service.
- 5 to 7 years of IT experience with relevant expertise in finance and accounting application support and/or implementation.
- Experience in business process design, requirements gathering, and gap analysis.
- Proficiency in SAP S4 Hana FI/CO Configuration.
- Familiarity with Coupa or Ariba is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookups.
- Experience with Oracle Shared Services and Life Cycle Management.

- Conduct unit testing to ensure applications meet specifications.
- Familiarity with various SAP areas, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and more.
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO configuration, integration, training, testing, and implementation.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and data validation as needed.
- Ability to formulate business requirements into design concepts.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate data and documentation.
- Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
