Job Summary

The Speech Pathologist is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. This role requires a strong foundation in speech-language pathology, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Masters degree in speech-language pathology
  • Current license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and achievement of clinical competencies
  • At least six months of experience in the acute care setting, including experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies
Work Environment
