  • Defining overall non-functional requirements that are critical metrics for new systems
  • Creating a target operating model that aligns with system evolution

This role is pivotal in enhancing overall efficiency for core data such as indices, securities, prices, risk, and corporate actions by shaping and defining technology solutions in a transparent and collaborative manner with business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage effectively - both verbally and in writing - with technology and business partners, demonstrating strong discussion, debate, and listening skills to explore beyond surface-level answers.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Fixed Income, Securities, Strategy, Business Analysis, or Systems Analysis
  • Design and facilitate workshops and user sessions by selecting appropriate participants and clearly defining outcomes and methodologies (interviews, online whiteboarding, surveys, card sorting, etc.).
  • Empathetically understand and articulate user needs.
  • Analyze data collected through user/stakeholder interactions and apply design thinking to extract goals, business needs, problem statements, workflows, user journeys, personas, and high-level solution outlines.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to articulate product intent with capability roadmaps and milestones. Facilitate architecture discussions with development leads to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Clearly identify and communicate dependencies that may affect the sequencing of development efforts.
  • Lead Program Increments and facilitate quarterly planning across teams, working closely with project managers and development teams on execution.
  • Collaborate with business and operations stakeholders to define the target operating model as systems evolve.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships through polished communication and follow-through.
  • Deliver effective written communication throughout the solution inception, vision, and intent documentation processes.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Provide consultation and ensure continuity with product and development teams on solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Fixed Income, Securities, Strategy, Business Analysis, or Systems Analysis.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in leading and directing teams to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate product vision and/or customized solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Advanced experience with Scaled Agile software development methodologies.
  • Proficient in utilizing various tools for documenting workflows and data mapping, including but not limited to Miro/Lucid, Excel, SQL, and Visio.
  • Understanding of analysis and artifact goals throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Capability to independently manage timelines and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Miro/Lucid, SQL, Excel, Visio, Balsamiq, Jira, and Tableau.
