Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician Senior to join our team in Savannah. As a key member of our service center, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership and expertise in the testing and troubleshooting of avionics and electronic systems.
  2. Develop and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality.
  3. Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure a skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, including troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
  6. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  7. Enforce company safety regulations and programs, including FOD, tool control, and 5-S.
  8. Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines as needed.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. 6 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and 4 years of related experience.
  3. A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred.
  4. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  5. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
