Job Title: SQL DBA

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at Connvertex Technologies Inc. as a SQL DBA. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in database management, problem-solving skills, and a passion for optimizing database operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas and data models.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through regular backups and disaster recovery plans.
  • Implement and maintain database security policies to protect sensitive information.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in database management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 12 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with query optimization.
  • Familiarity with database backup and recovery tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of data security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Snowflake).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Knowledge of database automation and monitoring tools.
