Brake Specialist Technician

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Brake/Tire Specialist to join our team at U-Haul. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, as well as basic mechanical aptitude and a driver's license.
About the Role: As a Brake/Tire Specialist, you will be responsible for performing tire and brake maintenance on our fleet of vehicles. This will include securing trucks on lifts and ramps, mounting and dismounting tires, and balancing them to ensure optimal performance. You will also be required to work in a production line environment and use proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklists to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities: Secure trucks on lifts and ramps; Perform tire and brake maintenance; Mount, dismount, and balance tires; Occasionally road test vehicles; Work in a production line environment; Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
Requirements: Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of repair experience preferred; Driver's license; Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually; Basic computer skills; Regular attendance.
Work Environment: The work involves manual labor and the ability to work safely and to be always alert. You may need to use protective clothing or gear like masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or face shields.
