About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our team at Air Comm. This is a safety-sensitive role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling various parts and components, following detailed instructions and specifications. This includes:

">
  • ">
  • Improving work methods and tooling to increase efficiency">
  • Reporting any safety problems to management">
  • FOLLOWING ALL ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICIES">
  • Keeping the work area clean and orderly">
  • Managing their own time efficiently">
  • Evaluating their work to ensure compliance with work instructions and standards">
  • Setting up, arranging, and operating equipment according to specifications and instructions from the supervisor">
  • Assembling parts or components to build new products">
  • Using hand tools, drills, calipers, heat guns, die grinders, height gauges, bench centers, lock wire pliers, blind rivet guns, torque wrenches, safety cable tools, and nutsert installation tools">
  • Contributing to fitting, building, or reconstructing various parts to ensure smooth process of component">
  • CLOCKING IN AND OUT OF BAR CODES TO BEGIN AND COMPLETE WORK ORDERS">
  • Performing regular test and inspection procedures to ensure that the product is formed in accordance with the specifications">
  • Reading and answering emails daily">
  • BASIC MICROSOFT OUTLOOK, WORD, AND EXCEL SKILLS">
  • BASIC USE VISUAL MRP SYSTEM">
  • WEARING THE PROPER SAFETY EQUIPMENT">
  • Other duties as assigned">

Requirements

">

To be considered for this role, you must have:

">
  • ">
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)">
  • Related experience and/or training">
  • The ability to read and interpret English documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and reports">
  • The ability to write and/or type routine correspondence or reports">
  • The ability to perform simple shop math including use of decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure">
  • The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions">
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills">
  • Basic use Visual MRP system">
  • Wearing proper safety equipment">
