Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain product packaging and labeling for mckesson's private label medical product portfolio in adherence with branding style guides. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to brand standards.
- Maintain vendor/supplier relationships and communicate with internal teams to keep projects on schedule. Identify, communicate, and resolve any packaging issues.
- Review current materials for adherence to standards; correct and update as necessary. Research packaging, design trends, and state and federal regulatory requirements for medical product packaging.
- Enforce brand standards and ensure uniformity and consistency of our brand elements. Review and approve print proofs and packaging samples.
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of graphic design experience (packaging design highly preferred)
- 2+ years' experience working from design through final production
- 2+ years' experience with Adobe Creative Cloud with strong emphasis on Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- 2+ years' experience with Mac Operating Systems
- 2+ years' experience with basic color theory
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Product photography, image editing
- Illustration capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to balance multiple priorities, perform under deadline pressure, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions but also exercise independent judgment; sound reasoning and problem-solving skills; critical thinker who can adapt standards to a wide variety of packaging formats and develop new concepts
- Resiliency; must respond well to criticism and feedback on designs
- Experience with retail or private label packaging, especially medical products or CPG
- Experience working in a graphic design firm, advertising agency, or in-house marketing team
- Excellent skills in design conceptualization, branding, layout, color, and typography
- Attention to detail and passion for branding and design
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, graphic arts, packaging design, visual communications arts, or a related field highly preferred
