Position Overview
The Senior Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Pacific Palms Resort and its surrounding facilities meet high maintenance quality standards. This position requires working during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude to understand, operate, and repair mechanical systems and machinery.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and complete work orders, including replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl, to uphold the Resort's quality standards.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance assignments.
  • Perform minor repairs on electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, televisions, and lighting systems.
  • Assist with minor plumbing repairs and maintenance on fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, sinks, and kitchen equipment.
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures throughout the property, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters, as well as paint and finish as necessary.
  • Install and repair various types of flooring, including ceramic tile, vinyl, and carpet.
  • Adapt to various shifts as property needs evolve.
  • Respond promptly to radio calls and provide status updates.
  • Demonstrate responsiveness to guest concerns and collaborate with coworkers to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Assist with guest functions and group setups as required.
  • Provide your own small hand tools.
  • Fulfill any reasonable requests from management.
Qualifications
  • Basic maintenance skills are essential.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated with effective time management abilities.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
